Did Someone Say Whistler?

I have to be honest. I'm not in Whistler at the moment. As a matter of fact I am no where near Whistler. My family and I are in Los Cabos, Mexico.
We've been down here for almost 2 weeks. I have to tell you; the weather has been absolutely perfect. We worked out a house swap with friends who live down here. They want to ski and make sure their daughter learns how to ski. Evidently the only problem they've run into is that their daughter's ski school was not offered on the weekend. Nice problem to have. In three weeks she is going to ski 15 days.
I on the other hand, just had the best surf session ever. I can drive 5 minutes down the road and be in an arroyo between 4 different breaks. Granted I still use the 'kiddy pool' but the waves were coming in nicely and, as I said before, the weather is a balmy 90 degrees, the water a nice 70, the sand white, the sea turquoise, the bodies tanned, the beer cold. Do I miss skiing at the moment. Uh, I have to be honest. When I smell bacon burning and realize it's my own skin, I am in my happy place!
I'm sure our friends are equally happy to be in Whistler in 06/07. This has been an epic year and it's always to be in the right place at the right time. Ride the vibe...
Oh, and I expect to ride some sick lines this spring with the Extremely Canadian Crew!
