It's been a long time since I've skied on a pair of Rossignols. And even longer since I've worn a pair of Lange ski boots.
Granted the boots are called Rossignol. But if you hold them up beside a pair of Lange boots I think you'll see some VERY strong similarities. The boots are the plug Radical boot. Not the world cup boot but a nice flex pattern. No surprises but I found the whole set up skied best from 'the back seat'.
The powder was good today. Not the incredible stuff that we are due to receive on Thursday, but still very nice skiing.
Yes, Whistler Blackcomb is due to receive even more snow later this week. And then it's supposed to cool off and clear up.
Touring anyone??
Finally, tomorrow night is the final Extremely Canadian Pre Season Party. This is the 10th annual. I haven't been for a while but this one promises to be a very good time. Doors open early so get yourself down to Merlin's for the show!
Until Next Time...
Whistler Ski Vacations
Another Day, Another Foot of Snow
December 11, 2006
Well,
One thing is for sure. This is the season to make sure you have fat skis! There is another HUGE system on the way. We are supposed to get another 50-80 cms of snow this week.
I am on my way to pick up a pair of Rossi B4 and a new pair boots. I can't wait to try these out. I mean it has been quite a few years since I've had new gear. And now, thanks to my friends at Extremely Canadian I have some new toys to use.
So, I'll try to snap some photos for the site tomorrow. I'm going to go for a few runs in the a.m.
Until then...

Liberals remain "incredibly tolerant" of people who smoke marijuana
December 01, 2006
The skiing is awesome. The Whistler Film Festival opened to a full house this evening. And as reported earlier, the Liberals are going back to their roots:
The founder of the Marijuana party has left his political grassroots and is now a card-carrying member of the Liberal party.
He's now trying to shape pot policy for his newfound party.
Marc-Boris St. Maurice proposed a new Liberal policy to legalize marijuana. His idea triggered a brief, raucous debate but it didn't make it out of the preliminary stage of a policy workshop.
Despite the rejection, St. Maurice maintains Liberals remain "incredibly tolerant" of people who smoke marijuana.
"Without naming names, I'm in a good position to confirm there are many members of the Liberal party that do indulge," he said. "But I'm not going to say who."
