The annual 'Turkey Sale' has come and gone yet again. There were some pretty amazing deals.
Now, we are waiting for Whistler-Blackcomb to open the lifts so we can get skiing/riding.
The count down is on!
Whistler Turkey Sale
October 06, 2006
This is the big weekend in Whistler for sale items. All the shops are selling off previous year stock and the bargains are amazing.
It also marks a huge milestone. As the days get shorter and cooler the anticipation of the upcoming ski season grows.
There is another date that is very important. November 15, 2006. This is the final day of the Early Bird booking specials from many of our accommodation suppliers. We have deals including 20 percent off, long stay incentives, free nights, discounted lift tickets, more. Let us walk you through our booking process and get planning a Whistler vacation that doesn't leave anything out.
I hope you're breaking in your new boots while you're reading this.

Impending Pain
October 04, 2006
The arrival of a new winter season brings so many things. Thoughts of snow falling lightly, laughing with friends on the chairlift, awe-inspiring views and, inevitably, BURNING THIGHS!
It seems that no matter how much time you spend in the gym, riding a bike or running you will be able to link 3 or 4 turns before you're writhing in pain wondering what ever possessed you to wake up at 5:30 in the morning to drive to the hill, wait for the lifts to open, and then ski on an inch of snow.
Then a few seconds passes. The legs feel good again. You love skiing again. There is no sport on earth that touches the exhilaration of skiing. 3, 2, 1, GO!
Arggh my thighs! I have to stop. I am in agony!
You remember this - be honest.
New boots - not much more to say.
I'll keep you posted.
Don't forget to stretch!
