I wish I could write what I had here before but the evil stateless web browser has erased my work.
Maui great. Whistler great.

Off To Maui
September 18, 2006
Uh, this may be hard for some of you to read. My family and I are off to Maui for a working vacation. We're flying out tomorrow afternoon and will be in Hawaii for a week.
While that's not long enough, I am really looking forward to it! A little sun and surf is just what the doctor ordered - before an epic winter season. Not only that, the winter vibe will be in full swing when we return.
IMPORTANT: If you live in the lower mainland area I urge you to make your way up to Whistler over the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. The sales up here are unbelievable on all kinds of good stuff. Skis, snowboards, boots, hats, goggles, gloves, socks, underwear, jackets, pants...dig? I am talking HUGE savings. Infact, I'm getting a little excited even writing about it - but enough about me.
You can buy new or used and save big dineros, amigo!
So, have fun while I'm away.
Plan for some new gear in a few weeks. You deserve it!
Aloha,
Sean

Mountain Top Snow
September 16, 2006
Mountain Top Snow Originally uploaded by smcd999.
Ok, we all know that it snowed in Whistler earlier this week. The real news is that it hasn't melted yet. May daughter and I went up to investigate. And, sure enough, it was chilly up there.
After riding up with 2 European couples (which part of the UK they were from remains a mystery as I could barely understand them) Jade and I ran around in the white stuff, threw a few token snowballs and then enjoyed a hot chocolate.
It's always nice to get into the alpine even if its just a quick look around. © 2006 - Ski Whistler - www.ski-whistler.com Whistler Accommodations, Whistler Ski Vacations, Adventure Travel Deals
First Site E-Blast
September 13, 2006
Welcome to all those who have followed the link from our first e-blast. We are very excited with the launch of our new site. If you have any comments please email us at sales@eagletour.com. We would love to hear from you.
Since the season is still a couple of months away we are still working on our site and trying you offer you the best deals we can. Our booking engine is one of the most robust engines on the internet and we are working tirelessly to improve the products being offered everyday. It is really easy to use and we are only a phone call away if you need help. Our company is located in Whistler and have been packaging ski vacations to whistler for over 10 years. We are also looking into offering ski guiding services along with our other outstanding in-resort services like restaurant recommendations and reservations, other activities, spa treatments and more. Our only limit is your imagination.
We have great ideas for the blog moving into the season but I don't want to give any of them away at the moment - so you'll have to check back periodically to see what we are up to.
Like all of you, we can't wait for the white stuff to fall!

WB Purchases Whistler Heli Ski
Ok, is 785 square miles of skiing enough for you? Or would you prefer 502, 171 acres. They are the same silly! And are now under one umbrella - Whistler Blackcomb. Why do I care you ask?
Whistler Blackcomb has purchased Whistler Heli-Ski. This union has, in effect, brought the terrain that Whistler Heli-Ski was using into the 'skiable terrain' of Whistler and Blackcomb mountains.
Now, your ski pass is not going to get you into the helicopter. But it could help save you. Some of the most experienced mountain guides and ski patrollers in the business will now share years of snow data collection and snow study. Savy?
So, does this change anything for loyal customers of Whistler Heli-Skiing? Not in the short term. The 25 year-old heli-ski company, the only one based in Whistler Resort, will still operate as Whistler Heli-Skiing, and will be a wholly owned subsidiary company of Whistler Blackcomb.
Ciao for now.

Calling all UK Skiers
September 06, 2006
Still on the great Whistler Deals theme - one of our favorite travel partners has offered us a deal geared to the UK ski market. Well, anyone can enjoy it but few of us North Americans get enough time off to come to Whistler for a fortnight (we still call that 2 weeks over here).
So, you get to stay in your choice of condominium (apartment) style accommodations for 14 nights and pay for 11. Is that a typo you ask? That is exactly what we asked the supplier.
So, not only do you get enough time off work to enjoy a 2 week ski vacation; you also get to enjoy 3 nights FREE.
What's the catch?
This is an early bird special. You have to book your accommodation before November 15, 2006.
Oh, and don't forget to pack your toothpaste in your suitcase!

This card is really the tip of the iceberg, or the icing on the cake, or the cherry on top...uh, you get the idea.
