Back From Gulmarg, India

I am working on returning to normal Western life after a mere 2 weeks in India. I was skiing in Gulmarg - Kashmir. This is a fantastic resort with huge, ridgey bowls, lots of powder, monkeys, military and snow leopards.
I have to say that getting back into the Whistler gondola is going to be surreal. We were towed behind a snowcat while the second stage of the gondola was down. Most people were cool but there was some moaning when the line up was not the general 'first come first serve' Westerners are used to.
The trip was organized by Extremely Canadian. We used Kashmir Alpine to help with transfers and guiding. If you get the chance to go to Kashmir; either winter or summer I highly recommend it.
